2. What is the cost of one of your puppies?

Currently our Karakachan pups are priced $1500. We do not charge extra for either a boy or girl, any color or combination. 

Plus the cost of your pups Florida issued health certificate/ microchip @ $ 125.

We are responsible breeders, when determining the cost, we must figure in the cost to acquire and/or import the very best breeding parents, with an outstanding pedigree and excellent health history, is expensive. 

 Building and maintaining proper housing and a nursery kennel complete with separate quarters for the whelping area is costly. 

The other costs that factor into the cost of a puppy from us include annual checkups with labs and shots, the DNA testing and annual testing.

Both the dam and sire are OFA hip and elbow tested with good results. 

 The vet check of the female prior to breeding with lab work. Health checks for the puppies. Microchipping, housing, food, toys, shampoo and grooming tools. Registration fees, high quality feed and emergency vet fees.

Each puppy will be sold with a Purchase Contract/Agreement. This contract will be forwarded via email prior to putting a deposit down. We will require the contract to be signed prior to your puppy going to his or her new home.

3. What does my puppy come with?

A sweet, affectionate, and healthy Karakachan puppy-Exposed to our Silkies on a regular daily basis. Living alongside and exposed to our mini cows, miniature horses, Pekin ducks, cats, kittens, children and adults on a regular basis.

Reliable communication between us ( Bobby and Jennifer ) and you about your pups well-being, development, and health care for life.

Professional quality digital photographs and videos will be taken and sent to you regularly of your puppy

We also offer a personal Facetime video chat with your pup and us - anytime. Please allow a few hours in advance notice

(OCVI) Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, signed by our local licensed veterinarian

This assures that you are receiving a vaccinated, dewormed and healthy Karakachan puppy

Your puppy will be dewormed regularly ( Negative )

Flea and tick treatments,  Heartworm testing ( Negative ) and preventative treatments is offered when age appropriate.

All JCF Karakachan puppies are microchipped for the safety of your puppy.  

Personal assessment of your pup's temperament, attitude and diet preferences are available and offered.

Your Karakachan puppy will be registered with https://karakachanusa.org/ and are listed on the Karakachan USA  website. 

We give our pups nursery-kennel names for bonding purposes, new parent choose their own name and will be recorded on their pups official pedigree and registration.

✔ Socializing and grooming

All our pups are raised in excellent and healthy conditions and are socialized and quite friendly and comfortable with people and being handled. 

You will find that your puppy is very friendly♥

We do not use crates or kennels in the kennels but for veterinarian  visits, our pups travel in a comfortable and stylish pup carrier so will come to you, comfortable and at ease for such trips in your car. 

Regular, daily grooming/handling is done with your puppy to assure that she/he is comfortable when you take over her/his grooming and care.

Your pup will NOT have a full shampoo, fluff blow dry, ear cleaning, and nail trim before leaving our nursery- kennel as these are outside pups/dogs and bound for outdoor farm or ranch employment. We rarely bath our pups in order to leave their natural oils on their skin and coat intact. 

With only a few breeding dogs, and a limited number of Karakachan puppies, we are able to focus on producing healthy and well socialized puppies that are perfect for your family.

We offer delivery to Gainesville area. For example, Your hotel, airport, or residence or you can come to our cattery to pick up your puppy.

We offer assistance in finding reliable and trustworthy pet transportation specialists to bring your puppy home to you if you are unable to travel to pick up your puppy.

                             A bag of puppy food, a bottle of spring water, a pet bowl, a puppy toy                                              and her/his first collar will come along with your puppy.

4. When can I pick my puppy up?

Puppies are available to be picked up at 8-12 weeks. The remaining balance is due at the time of pick up. When you leave with your new puppy, you will have its vaccination and medical record including dates of veterinarian visits, shots and deworming and heartworm preventive treatment. Please have a puppy carrier to safely transport your pup home.

5. What if I live out of state or not able to travel?

 Your puppy is available​ as pick up or via hand delivery by a pet courier, air transportation is also an option. If you choose air transportation, your puppy will need an airline approved crate, this is the buyers responsibility.

We can help you find a reliable and trustworthy door to door pet and animal transportation courier to help you bring your puppy home safe and sound right to your door if you are unable to personally come pick up your puppy. Courier prices vary depending on your location, usually average .75 a mile Ground and air transportation costs are the buyer's responsibility.

6. Does my puppy come with breeding rights?

Sometimes, based on each puppy so please inquire on whether your preferred puppy is available with breeding rights. We recommend your puppy to be spayed or neutered. We recommend to wait until your puppy has finished growing, usually between 10 and 15 months of age, before neutering or spaying him or her. This is generally thought to minimize the potential risk of joint issues associated with neutering/spaying earlier specially in larger breeds, like the Karakachan LGD breed.

We have occasionally in certain situations given breeding rights, so please do inquire if this is something you would like to discuss further.

6. Do you offer a health guarantee?

Our puppies are assessed by our veterinarian prior to leaving our nursery kennel and will be negative for known health issues. 

At JCF all of our Karakachans puppies are healthy and come with a health certificate.
