2. What is the cost of one of your kittens?

Currently our Maine Coon pet kittens are priced $3000.00. We do not charge extra for either a boy or girl, polydactyl or standard, any color or combination.

We are responsible breeders, when determining the cost, we must figure in the cost to acquire and import the very best breeding parents from Europe-a Maine Coon parent with breeding rights from Russia, with an outstanding pedigree and excellent health history, is extremely expensive. 

 Building and maintaining proper housing and a nursery complete with separate quarters for the stud(s) is costly. 

The other costs that factor into the cost of a kitten from us include annual checkups with labs and shots, the DNA testing and annual testing.

 The vet check of the female prior to breeding with lab work. Health checks for the kittens. Microchipping, housing, food, toys, cat trees, cat litter, shampoo and grooming tools. Registration fees, high quality feed and emergency vet fees, heart echocardiogram with a feline cardiologist on each adult cat.

Each kitten will be sold with a Purchase Contract/Agreement. This contract will be forwarded via email prior to putting a deposit down. We will require the contract to be signed prior to the kitten going to its new home.

3. What does my Kitten come with?

(OCVI) Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, signed by our local licensed veterinarian

This assures that you are receiving a vaccinated, dewormed and healthy Maine Coon Kitten

Your kitten will come with its own, personal health and medical record that will include all age-appropriate vaccinations given by our local licensed veterinarian ( all up to 12 weeks old ) and Your kitten will be dewormed regularly ( Negative )

Flea and tick treatments,  Heartworm testing ( Negative ) and preventative treatments, along with your kittens weight♥ 

Parents are FIV/FELV testing ( Negative )

All Maine Kingdom kittens are microchipped for the safety of the kitten.  

Personal assessment of your kitten's temperament, attitude and diet preferences.

✔   Pedigree and registration

Your Maine Coon kitten will be registered with the The International Cat Association (TICA) Or CFA with a 4-5 generation Pedigree. Once you have spayed or neutered your kitten and we have the name you have chosen for your kitten, alongside your name, email, and address, we will send the information to TICA/CFA who will finalize the registration of your kitten. The kitten will be named with the name you choose, followed by Maine Kingdom, for example: “Louise” Maine Kingdom. 

We give our kittens nursery names for bonding purposes, new parent choose their own name and will be recorded on their kittens official pedigree and registration.

✔ Socializing and grooming

All our Maine Coon kittens are raised in excellent and healthy conditions and are socialized and quite friendly and comfortable with people and being handled.

We do not use crates or kennels in the cattery but for veterinarian  visits, our kittens travel in a comfortable and stylish kitty carrier so will come to you, comfortable and at ease for such trips in your car. 

Regular, daily grooming is done with your kitten to assure that she/he is comfortable when you take over her/his grooming and care.

Your kitten will have full shampoo, fluff blow dry, ear cleaning, and nail trim before leaving our nursery.

With only a few breeding cats, and a limited number of Maine Coon kittens, we are able to focus on producing healthy and well socialized kittens that are perfect for your family.

We offer delivery to Gainesville area. For example, Your hotel, airport, or residence or you can come to our cattery to pick up your kitten.

We offer assistance in finding reliable and trustworthy pet transportation specialists to bring your kitten home to you if you are unable to travel to pick up your kitten.

                             A bag of Kitten food, a bottle of spring water, a pet bowl, a kitten toy                                              and her/his first collar will come along with your kitten.

4. When can I pick my kitten up?

Kittens are available to be picked up at 10-12 weeks. The remaining balance is due at the time of pick up. When you leave with your new kitten, you will have its vaccination and medical record including dates of veterinarian visits, shots and deworming and heartworm preventive treatment. Please have a cat carrier to safely transport your kitten home.

5. What if I live out of state or not able to travel?

 Your kitten is available​ as pick up or via hand delivery by a pet courier, air transportation is also an option. If you choose air transportation, your kitten will need an airline approved crate, this is the buyers responsibility.

We can help you find a reliable and trustworthy door to door pet and animal transportation courier to help you bring your kitten home safe and sound right to your door if you are unable to personally come pick up your kitten. Courier prices vary depending on your location. Ground and air transportation costs are the buyer's responsibility.

6. Does my kitten come with breeding rights?

No, our kittens are sold as pets only and are not sold with any breeding rights. We require all kittens to be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age, kept indoors and we strongly recommend no declawing.  Our kittens and cats have all been trained to use a scratching post and will not scratch furniture if provided one.

We have occasionally in certain situations given breeding rights, so please do inquire if this is something you would like to discuss further.

6. Do you offer a health guarantee?

Our cats are regularly assessed by a licensed veterinarian and have been tested  negative for FeLV and FIV and all kittens are assessed by our veterinarian prior to leaving our cattery and will be negative for known health issues. 

At Maine Kingdom all of our Maine Coon cats are negative for the HCM and SMA genes and PK deficiency. Our kittens genetic health is guaranteed for one full year.  Maine Kingdom will replace your kitten if this kitten passes away from a genetic illness. Your kittens associated necropsy report from a licensed veterinarian must be provided to Maine Kingdom to assure a replacement kitten.
